This kitten fell out of a truck and straight into a sleepover.
A normal shift at work took a turn when a tiny kitten literally fell out from the bottom of a truck in the shop. She was caught before she could slip away, and with how cold it is outside, there was no way she could be left there. The plan was to bring her straight to the humane society, but since they were closed for the night, she got an unexpected sleepover instead.
She was filthy from the shop and mostly fluff with hardly anything underneath, clearly hungry and worn out from being out in the cold. It took her a little while to settle in, but once she realized she was safe, she curled up and fell asleep right on a lap. After who knows how long outside, she finally had somewhere warm to rest.
For now, she's fed, off the cold floor, and getting a proper nap instead of hiding under machinery. Sometimes the Cat Distribution System shows up in the middle of your workday and hands you a tiny responsibility you didn't see coming.
Fender Bender might have had a rough entrance into the world, but tonight she's warm, safe, and tucked in until she can get the help she needs tomorrow.
